Why Toronto families call

Toronto is where the waits are longest.

A preferred long-term care home in Toronto can mean a wait of four years or more, and close to 50,000 Ontarians are on the LTC list. Most families we meet aren’t choosing home care as a philosophy. They’re choosing it because the wait left no other plan.

We take those calls every week: a parent discharged from Toronto General, Sunnybrook, St. Michael’s, Humber River or Michael Garron with a follow-up sheet and nobody home during the day. A caregiver can usually start within 24 to 48 hours, with an RN reviewing the discharge plan before the first visit.

And because we’re family-owned rather than a franchise, you speak to a care manager who knows your file — not a call centre that knows your postal code.

24h — care can begin

From first call to first visit, often the next day.

One care manager, one file

A clinician-backed contact who actually knows your parent.

$0 with approved funding

HCAI, WSIB, IFHP and other programs billed directly.

City-wide, home-specific

One team, from Etobicoke to Scarborough.

Downtown, Midtown, East York, North York, Etobicoke, Scarborough — same standard, same promise.

Condo living changes care: concierge access, elevators booked for equipment, a galley kitchen that won’t fit a walker. House living changes it differently: stairs, snow, a bedroom twenty steps from the bathroom. Our plans are written for the actual home, which is why your care manager designs every one before care begins.

Adult children coordinating from another city use us as their eyes on the ground: notes after every visit, and a care manager who calls you before small things become big ones. More on care management →

What it costs

Toronto pricing, written down before care begins.

Agency home care in Toronto commonly runs $28 to $45 an hour. Angel’s Kare starts at $35/hour, confirmed in writing on the free call, with no subscriptions or admin fees. If care follows a car accident, a workplace injury, or newcomer status, a qualifying program may cover some or all of the cost. When approved, we bill the program directly, and your out-of-pocket cost may be little or $0.
